There are several TV shows that I like to watch. However, there are only two that I really look forward to seeing. One is Ghost Hunters and the other is The Deadliest Catch. When this show first aired, I didn't think they could make a show on crab fishing and actually make it interesting. Well, I was wrong. The Deadliest Catch on the Discovery Channel is one of the most interesting shows on television.
I never realized how dangerous it was to fish for crabs. To have to endure 18+ hour days in horrible conditions, is something I wouldn't relish. Yes, the money is good, but you really have to work your butt off to earn it. It takes a special type of person to do a job like this. It not only takes intelligence and strength, but skill and dedication. To come back year after year, you must be truly dedicated.
Right now, they are running a marathon of the series. If you have the time, try to check it out.
This show not only provides first class entertainment, but is informative as well. You get an up close and personal view of what it is really like to fish for crabs. If you like Reality TV, then watch this show. Watch it once and you will be hooked.
