Retaining Wall Photos: 8/10

Unfortunately, due to an exclusive agreement with Kindle, I have been asked to remove the contents of this page. However, all the information you will need to build your retaining wall, can be found in my book. I am very sorry of any inconvenience this may cause.

  1. Before you get too far along, have you considered some kind of irrigation? Like a drip system? And be sure to leave "weep" holes so excess rain/snow water can get out. Otherwise...ROTTEN mess!

  2. Doug: Thank you for asking. The irrigation and the drainage systems have already been installed. I agree, if you don't account for drainage (which many may forget to do), you will end up with a mess.

  3. Looks good! Were you secretly happy the rains came so you could rest after all that work? I was supposed to stain our decks last week but didn't since rain was forecasted but we didn't get one drop.

  4. BeadedTail: Thank you. Part of me was glad for the break and part of me was going nuts, because I wanted to be out there working. Weird, huh? According to the news, we got 1.75 inches of rain within 3 days. Sorry you weren't able to stain your deck, but you can do it this weekend, though :)

  5. Tim, my husband got home last night and just had a look at your wall.

He worked for a construction company for years while we were in Maine and they specialized in this type work.

He says yours looks great! Thanks for having my ad here today!!

    Happy day,

  6. Shinade aka Jackie: Please tell him that I said, "Thank You very much." That means a lot. I hope you get a lot of visitors from your ad :)

  7. Tim, you've done such a fantastic job. Maybe you should hire yourself out to us bloggers. It's absolutely beautiful.

  8. Mountain Woman: Thank you very much! I'm hoping that by next week I can call it Finally finished.
