Up until a couple of years ago they would block off one street and the kids would go crazy with shaving cream on the last day of school. They stopped it a couple of years ago :(
School's out here until the 21st when the summer semester starts. I took time off work too so we can enjoy it while it lasts! And yeah, now I have that song in my head too thank you very much!
Tomorrow will be the last day for our son. It's just a half day and they'll be having a class party. Man, I can not believe how tough 4th grade was. So many power struggles over homework. Thank God Summer is here.
Sparkle the Designer Cat: Oh yeah, I just noticed the wrapping paper in the background. I guess I need to find some room in the closet :)
greg proud: I used to love those parties! I can totally relate to that! My oldest just finished the first year of high school and it was quite a shock to both of us. Since we home school, I need to be familiar with all the courses, so it meant learning a lot of new stuff. I am SO ready for summer!
Funny - they used to blare this song throughout the hallway after the kids left on the last day of school when I was teaching!
ReplyDeleteand now I also have the song in my head. That's ok takes me back to the good old days :)

ReplyDeleteMichelle: That sounds like a blast! I bet you teachers had a great party on the last day :)
ReplyDeleteAnn: Besides Christmas, it was about the best day of the year.
Furkidsmom: That sounds awesome! Too bad they had to stop doing it.
BeadedTail: Have a fun time! Oh, and you're very welcome :)
Looks to me like you're planning on Christmas in July! No wonder your kitty's conked out. ;-)
