Although I never had the honor of meeting Sadie in person, I came to consider her a part of our family. I know that Sadie has touched hundreds of lives throughout the world and even though she is not here anymore, she will continue to play a part in each of our lives and will live forever in our hearts.

Saying Goodbye to Sadie
I received the sad news yesterday that our friend Sadie from the BeadedTail has made her journey across the Rainbow Bridge. Over the years, I was lucky enough to follow her adventures each week and I especially enjoyed taking a stroll with her every Sadieday; going down trails, seeing deer, checking for pee-mail, and going through puddles. I remember how she loved to patrol her backyard to make sure those pesky outdoor kitties did not invade her territory :)

This is the first I heard about poor Sadie. She was a great dog and I always enjoyed all the pictures of her on her strolls too! My heart goes out to her whole family because I know they loved her very much and will be greatly missed.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting about my baby Sadie. We're devastated that she's gone but we're glad she was able to spread her sweet spirit through our blog. I hope you still take Sadieday strolls in her honor!

Karen and Gerard: She certainly was and she will be greatly missed.
ReplyDeleteSharla: This was one of the most difficult posts for me to write. Those strolls helped me through some difficult times and were sometimes the only bright spot in my week and I want thank you and Sadie for that. You can be sure that I will take those strolls on Sadieday and she will always be a part of my life.

It was a sad day to learn about Sadie. It's amazing to me how people and animals can touch our lives so deeply through a computer screen. Saturday will forever be Sadieday to me
ReplyDeleteOh that was a sad news:(thanks for this post. Im heading over to the beaded tail now.
ReplyDeleteIt saddens me how short the time we have with our furkids is. I'm going to miss reading Stroll with Sadie posts, too.
ReplyDeleteAnn: I know exactly what you mean and I will always equate Saturdays with Sadieday!
ReplyDeletePearl: It was very sad news and I'm sure that Sharla will appreciate your support during this difficult time.
Storm, The Pschotic Housewife: It is way too short and I know that I take the time I have with our kitties for granted. I need to stop doing that
Thanks again Tim and I appreciate the other comments too. Our hearts are so broken but we're grateful that Sadie spread such happiness through her strolls. She absolutely loved her strolls and although it's going to kill me the first time I go without her, I know she'll be there in spirit.
ReplyDeleteSharla: She will be greatly missed, but I will always remember her and as I mentioned to Ann, Saturdays will always be Sadieday to me.
ReplyDeletewe will all miss Sadie to all that loved her I am so sorry
