Well, it's been just about five days since Yum Yum was given free-reign of the house and I have to say that she has adjusted quite well. For the first few days, she was still sleeping-off the effects of her surgery, but slowly started to explore. Koko, on the other hand, spent most of those first few days under our bed and when he did come out, he just hissed at her.
Using her feline feminine wiles, she eventually won him over and I am happy to say that they even play together now. Although Koko doesn't appreciate it very much, she just loves to bat at his tail.
Well, I've yammered on long enough, enjoy the pictures...
Yum Yum exploring, complete with laser eyes...
Yum Yum working on my next article...
Tired after checking out her new digs...
Koko and Yum Yum finally make peace...
Awww, Yum Yum is adorable! She looks a LOT like our little Lalo. What breed is Yum Yum? We're pretty sure that Lalo is Tonkinese. He's a very spoiled little kitty!
ReplyDeleteYum Yum is a cutie. I'm glad they are friends. Koko is going to like having a buddy!
ReplyDeleteSniffie and the Florida Furkids
so cute! looks like Yum Yum is doing fine.
ReplyDeleteYum Yum is so cute! It's so good they are getting along now and I love the picture of them looking outside together!
ReplyDeleteSplit Rock Ranch: She was brought in wild and we never able to see her mother. Her siblings American Shorthair and we know she has Siamese in her, but other than that, we really don't know.
ReplyDeleteFurkidsmom: Yes, I am very happy that they are getting along now. It was a tense few days, but Koko finally seems to accept her.
Midday Escapades: Thank you, she is making herself right at home. Every time we go in the kitchen, she appears, if by magic. She has currently "borrowed" my daughter's chair and has made it her usual sleeping place.
BeadedTail: I am very glad, too. That picture was the very first time, besides the time when Koko was asleep, that they were side-by-side.
What a cutie pie. I'm so glad she's settled in and the last picture was my definite favorite. Best friends for ever with Koko.
ReplyDeleteYour cats are adorable, but I can't help but wonder if you are a fan of Lilian Jackson Braun's books. I think Koko and Yum Yum are two of the best cat names ever. :)
ReplyDeleteMountain Woman: Yes, she is certainly making herself at home. It's amazing how something so little can take up so much space.
ReplyDeleteGargantua: When we got Koko several years ago, I had been reading her books. Now, when we were lucky enough to get a female Siamese, we decided to name her Yum Yum. Her books are great!
Nice when our kitties get along!
ReplyDeleteCute kitties! Great toys! Nice pics!
ReplyDeleteKaren, author of "My Funny Dad, Harry": Thanks, I'm really glad they are getting along.
ReplyDeleteJohn @ Family, Fitness and Finances: Thanks.
