International Box Day 2012

Hello, it's International Box Day and to celebrate, I was able to persuade our two reluctant models to pose for some photos. Actually, they could care less, so I just set a box on the floor and let nature take its course :)

Over the past few days, the temperature has dropped and we are in the middle of another cold snap. Tired of the cold, Koko had a great idea: why not burrow under the covers and take a snooze...



You can tell that he is SO thrilled with having his picture taken.

The Life of the Party

I was supposed to fix the toilets this weekend, but instead I had to help my oldest with science and math. The topic in science was genetics and gene mapping and the math junk was about complex numbers (using both real numbers and imaginary numbers; solving problems, and then graphing the results)...not my favorite way to spend a weekend. Believe it or not, I would have been much happier tearing our toilets apart.

Now, on to the star of the show....

Here we see our ample cat stretched out on our table. We used this table for Thanksgiving to hold the drinks and snacks. If you look closely, you can see him sticking his tongue out at us... some nerve, huh?

On Thanksgiving, Koko appointed himself the guardian of the coats. He took a particular liking to my niece's wool coat (which he is laying on). Of course, his security services do not come without a price...she later rewarded him for his service with some choice pieces of turkey.

Oh, on an unrelated note, instead of waiting until the last minute, like I did the past few years, I will begin posting my Thanksgiving menu and related recipes. These are the actual recipes I have used over the past few years and they have been very well received.
