Hail to Wednesday

We had a little thunder/hail storm blow through late this afternoon.

If you look closely, you can see the pea-sized hail (corn snow)...

Lastly, as you can see, the birds have all taken cover and are nowhere to be seen...

  1. Was this true hail or corn snow? By that I mean, did it rain and hail or did it snow the little balls of snow that we call corn snow? Wow!

  2. We got some of those little hails (is that how you say it?) today too but mostly rain. Our flowers are blooming though reminding us that spring is right around the corner!

  3. Split Rock Ranch: I was watching the news a little bit ago and they mentioned that it was corn snow. I had never heard that term before, but it was still pretty cool to see :)

BeadedTail: I guess we might have gotten your storm. This happened late afternoon. Our flowers are still sleeping..it's a good thing too, because we are going back down into the 20's at night.

  4. Ugh! I hate hail! We had some serious hail once at the old house where we lived and it freaked me out. There was a big pile of it on the balcony and my human tried to show it to me, but I ran away from it.

How did your cats deal with it? Did the noise upset them?

  5. Sparkle the Designer Cat: It was really windy and it was banging against the door, so they were a little upset about it at first. After a minute or so, their curiosity got the better of them and I think they enjoyed watching it come down.

  6. Hey there Tahtimbo,

It's sad that I haven't been able to experience snow nor hail. I live in Los Angeles and we don't get snow here. When I see pics like that, I wonder if I really want it to snow here or if it's something I just want to experience a few times. lol Later!

  7. Metallman: Hi, thanks for stopping by!
I grew up in Stockton, California and it only snowed once when I was growing up. I was in 7th grade science class and they let us out to play in it.
I like the snow and I don't even mind shoveling it (great exercise). The only thing I don't like about it, is driving in it.

  8. I'm a little behind in my visits, so catching up. Yuck on the hail storm. We had 2 beautiful days in a row here. 50 yesterday and 57 today. Of course it's supposed to snow again on Saturday

  9. Ann: Me too. I'm so behind, I don't know if I'll ever catch up.
Yes, it's supposed to snow here on Saturday, too.
