I just wanted to share a photo (taken with a cell phone) of our newest family member, Yum Yum. My wife and daughters went to the Humane Society today and as they were looking at kittens, a lady who fosters cats came through the door with this kitten, her litter mates, and her mother. Needless to say, they immediately fell in love with this 4 month old Siamese kitten and she will be coming home on Sunday. The pink mark on her head is to let others know that she has been adopted. Of course she will have to be kept separate from Koko for a few days, but we hope in the long run that they will get along great. Finally, after 8 years, we have the complete set....Koko and Yum Yum!! (The names of the Siamese cats in The Cat Who...series, by Lilian Jackson Braun)

Congrats on your new addition! You did a very good thing :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! She's beautiful. I think Koko will do fine with her. Our cats get hissy for the first day or two and then they're fine with the foster kittens. Enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! This kitten just looks like our cat!
ReplyDeleteVet Tech: Thank you. We got Koko at the same shelter.
ReplyDeleteSplit Rock Ranch: Thank you for letting me know. Koko's been an only cat for several years now, so I am a bit concerned with how he'll respond to Yum Yum.
Reel Advice: Thank you. That's great, I'd love to see a picture:)
we have always owned Siamese cats. yours looks like a seal point. our first one was a seal point, then a Blue point and chocolate point. congrats you will truly fall in love with her.
ReplyDeleteOh, she is so adorable! I wish I could have cats but with 7 dogs it just isn't possible. What a doll and I'm really thrilled you got her from the Humane Society.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see more of her pictures.
Yum Yum is adorable
ReplyDeleteAn adorable name for an adorable kitty - congratulations on your new family member.
ReplyDeleteOH, so sweet and cute
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteConcats on getting your pink spot, Yum Yum! :)
Congrats on getting a new kitty! I'm sure Koko and yum yum will become friends in time--http://zemeks.blogspot.com/2008/05/bringing-in-new-cat.html
ReplyDeleteOh I am so happy for you!! And what a treat- finding a Siamese at a shelter. They are extremely hard to come by here in New York. I wonder why?! I want another to keep Livvy company, but it's tough finding a Siamese kitten!
ReplyDeleteAuntie E: I think so, but I know Koko is a seal point, although he acts like he has some ragdoll in him as well.
ReplyDeleteMountain Woman: Yes, it might pose a Small problem with 7 dogs:) As soon as I get more pictures, I'll start posting them. We got Koko from the same shelter.
Ann: Thank you, I'll pass that along to her;)
Chris: Thanks. I got the name from the Cat Who... books. The name of the two cats are Koko and Yum Yum.
Lucky Lady: She sure is and I bet she'll use that to her advantage ;)
Your Daily Cute: That she is. I'll pass along your greeting to her ;)
Cred Lady: I'll have to go and do that. I had to delete Koko's because it would not allow me to upload his picture. Then, I kept getting a virus warning. But I'll try again and add Yum Yum at the same time.
Karen & Gerard Zemek: Thank you, I sure hope it is a smooth transition.
Rebecca @Freaky Frugalite: When my wife went there, they didn't have any. They were on the verge of picking another kitty when the foster lady showed-up with the Siamese Kittens...a true blessing.
Oh my gosh, she's so cute! Concatulations on your new addition! Hope you keep us posted on her and Koko!
ReplyDeleteBeadedTail: Thank you! I'll be sure and get some pictures and share them with you.
ReplyDeleteIf you look to the right at my pic you will see my sweetheart. Her name is Coco and I adopted her from a shelter about 2 mos. ago. She's a snowshoe mix and looks quite a bit like Yum Yum...wow...precious
ReplyDeleteShe is really cute! That is funny though, because my picture is of Koko. We got them both at the shelter and would not even consider going to a pet store. I'll be sure to tell Yum Yum what you said ;)
