Let it Snow...Let it Snow...Let it Snow...

I figured that I would bore you with some photos taken during our latest snow storm. Enjoy...

These are the little trash cans we use to store the bird and squirrel food. This was taken at around 10:00 pm last night...

Taken around the same time, this is our retaining wall...

Taken about three hours later (yes, I have no life)...

Our squirrel feeder at about 1:00 AM and no, it did not stop the squirrels from feeding the next morning...

Finally, our guard-flamingos Killer and Brutus at 1:00 AM...

Tomorrow, I will show you some photos from the next morning. I spent over three hours shoveling wet and mushy snow from our frontage road, sidewalks, and driveway.

  1. That's a lot of snow! We don't even own a snow shovel since it doesn't snow that much here.

  2. BeadedTail: We just have the one shovel, but I really could have used a snow blower today. It would have made life so much easier.

Storm, The Psychotic Housewife: Especially the heavy, slushy stuff that weighs a ton. Right now I am on 2 Tylenol and feeling better.

  4. Oh my your poor pink flamingos look lost in all that snow.

I love snow but my husband doesn't. Of course, he was always on clean up duty.

We are very very cold here but so far staying sunny!:-)

  7. Brian: It was only in the upper 20's, so it was actually warmer than it had been the previous few days (12 and under).

Shinade: Those are the flamingos that are by our front door. That's why I call them our guard-flamingos.
I usually like the snow too, but this was just SO much- 7+ inches in less than 24 hours!

a49erfangirl: It really is very pretty to look at, but after the first hour or so of shoveling, it didn't look so good :)

Ann: This was the first time in a long time that we got this much at once.

  9. Shinade: Oh, that's too bad. I just heard our weather report and in the next few days, we should be getting to the upper 30's and maybe even 40's for a few days. Time to break-out the shorts :)
